The advent of the DVD revolutionized how movies could be viewed in the comfort of our homes, and as you can see on the movie section of my '80s page, just about any '80s movie can be found on DVD now. Besides the obvious quantum leap in video and audio quality, the compactness of the format allowed for multiple discs to be easily bundled into boxed sets.
